Antrice

Antrice Rount The Island Race

Antrice is a Moody 346 and was designed by Bill Dixon as a family cruiser.  She is 34ft 6 in LOA with an aft owner's cabin with a double berth and a fore cabin that is designed for two single or one double berth (using an insert).

It is possible to sleep two more people using the saloon berth.

I have upgraded Antrice quite extensively over the past few years.  The work I have done includes:

  1. Replacing all standing and running rigging.
  2. Having new sails cut which gives better performance and visibility as modern sailcloth can deliver the same power using smaller higher cut sails.
  3. Replacing all winches.
  4. Replacing all electronics and fitting autopilot and radar.
  5. Rewiring all the electrical circuits including new battery charging and isolation switches and contact breakers for all circuits.
  6. New instruments.
  7. A three blade self feathering propeller.
  8. New head linings.
  9. New refrigerator systems.
  10. New gas cooker.
  11. Fitting a Lewmar electric windlass.

Antrice is great fun to sail.  I have made a number of interesting passages, for more details and pictures click here.
